About Me

“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded”    -Ralph Waldo Emerson

My hope is that by the end of my life people will gather together in agreement that Hannah Kent lived out those words throughout the course of her life. I am from Rogers, AR and am now a senior at the University of Central Arkansas with a set graduation date of April 30, 2016. I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in both Public Relations and Psychology with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies from the UCA Schedler’s Honors College.

I am passionate about service and building relationships with people that transcend basic interactions. I believe in applying a diligent work ethic for results that greatly impact the lives of the people you work with and work for. I see myself pursuing a career goal in marketing or human resources. I find a lot of value in the work of non-profit organizations and would love to apply my skills as a public relations professional to the contribution of a greater goal. I plan to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration.

With this being my senior year I am seeking clarity on my future career goals. I am hoping that through the completion of my upper division PR courses I will be able to identify my strengths within this broad field and narrow in on a specific field in which to apply them.

I see this blog serving as a self-reflection tool as well as a resource for future research considering we will be covering topics that will be applicable to a future career as a PR technician. I am hoping that by the end of this semester’s blog I will be able to continue analyzing current topics and sharing my opinions.
